TECH TIME AT THE RAUMATI TECH CENTRE.
Last Thursday afternoon nearly 60 year students from Waikanae School visited the Raumati Tech Centre for the first time. There was much excitement on the bus as we traveled to Raumati. Children got to experience what it is like to go to tech for the Yr 7-8s. Activities included using Comic Life to create a comic page, origami, decorative book making, cooking and making models in the workshop. Each child returned to school with what they had made, to show other students and take home.
Origami and making boxes.

I was out of town last week so was not home when our son brought home his tech project suffice it to say that his mum observed how proud he was of his model. Having seen it now instilled some pride in me too. Unfortunately on the same day as he proudly showed off his project it was broken during play with other children so I'm now awaiting him to ask my assistance in managing his repairs to it. I'm keen to oversee his use of my power tools and make suggestions in the repair. Regards
