As we head towards Easter and a school holiday break I trust
that you will all be able to arrange some time with the family. Often
doing things such as going as a family bowling or to the movies can cost quite
a lot. So let’s make a list of things we can do for minimal cost
that would be fun.
We will make a list with suggestions from class members and
then email the collated list out to Rm 6 families.
Here are my 3 ideas.
- · Collect shells and interesting driftwood from the beach and make a mobile to hang from a tree in the garden.
- · Plant a packet of radish seeds. Check them each day to see how long they take to germinate and then graph their growth by measuring the height of the tallest ones each day.
- · Go to the public library with Mum or Dad. Choose an easy reader chapter book together and one of the parents reads a chapter at the meal table or when the children go to bed each night. (If it is easy enough maybe an older brother or sister could do some reading, or even the Rm6 child could read it to the family.)
