The Couch That Could Talk.  Once upon a time there lived a man whose name was Tony. tony brought a couch. He also brought a dog.  One day Tony was having Chinese for dinner. He said to his dog, “if you say grav, you can eat all of my dinner”. The dog didn't say gravy but the couch did. What the couch said was “Gravy my name is Bob. You see, Tony was a wizard and earlier on that day he had put a spell on the dog but missed and hit the couch. He was amazed on how it worked but Tony was sad now he had no dinner.  But Tony had to go to work.He worked as a waiter at a fancy restaurant but he had arranged to meet this girl whoworked as a chef at the restaurant. So he was going to meet her. Now these two had been boyfriend and girlfriend for a while and tomorrow the girl was moving in.  What the couch was excited about was that Tony and been to her house and put the same spell, but a girls version, on her piano. When the piano came round they sat together. They talked they giggled they sighed. Then they lived happily ever after and got married.

We have been learning about the Treaty of Waitangi, why it is improtant for us as NZers and about our history.
Joshua and Theo read together a dtory about how we got our treaty.

Micah and Emily like to work together on their work. We are working on our Maori reading about the treaty. :-)

Bee and Ciara work well together.  Bee is reading and Ciara is colouring in the illustrations to go with the story.
Troy, Bee and Gabrielle made paper waka and drew Maori designs, because this week we have Waitangi Day.  Troy and Bee said they liked making the waka and creating their designs.

Kace and Cole designed their paper waka.  Cole made four of them and so has Kace.  Cole liked folding them and then decorating them.
Hannah  and  Gabrielle play with Relish, our class Rainbow Lorikeet.

Oskar shares his "rock" made of sugar crystals and chocolate with the class.
